Our new Seville has the washer dryer hook ups, but no dryer vent. Does anyone out there have a Seville with the factory installed hook-ups, but no dryer vent? If you have the Vent from the factory, where did they put it? Anxiously waiting info. Thanks

There are vented and non vented dryer machines for RV's.

Here is a good link that eplains how the two different dryers work and the differences between them:

I would call Crossroads and ask them if they can send you a drawing or picture of where you would need to drill to make a hole for the vent. You will have to go between two wall studs and avoid any wiring in the wall. I would not install anything but a vented unit.

Thanks for the reply and info. I am confused though, as to why this wasn't prepped at the factory. I will call to get a detail of that area of the coach, to guide in the cutting of a hole (spooky) in our new Seville. Thanks again for the info.

There are manufactures that mark where a vent should be cut but I guess Crossroads does not do it. Our Paradise Pointe does not have it marked either. Sure would make it a lot easier when trying to install a vented W/D.

we thought about a washer dryer and I talked to Randy at the plant I was told the reason no vent holes were put in because it depends on what type of washer dryer you buy, you can get a splendid one piece that does it all or the stack, my unit accomodates a stack....I have a friend who had the non vented unit, was really bad, took forever to just dry a pair of jeans, he has since sold it and had a vented unit put in..

Thanks mbinohio, thats good toknow. I am looking at the space for a w/d and it seems like only one from the easy bake oven family of appliance will fit. I will need to do some serious measuring before I buy. Our unit has the w/d closet added next to the wardrobe closet, and it really looks as if not much of anything will fit through the opening. It measures 24"wide at the door (with doors off), but only 23" deep before the back corner of the unit would hit the interior wall. If a unit with cabinet dimensions like that is available, I think the knobs would stick out to far to close the door on the w/d closet. This really sounds like fun. Thanks again for your reply, and I will post if I can find something that fits. J

MT, unless I am mistaken, there are only a few units available that can be used in an rv. Remember that the dryer runs on 120V, not 240V like your house dryer and must be mfg. accordingly. The units that are made for rv's will fit your space. And by the way, they are pricey.

The units I have seen the dry vents are under the King Pin area, usually centered between the pin and the bottom side edge.
