The reason I got mine was that sometimes I would take off the cap and a cup full or sometimes more. I was not sure if it was some TP or a or just a valve leak for some reason or another. Now that twist on valve is on full time and I know when I take off the cap it is DRY.
In regards to changing the valve it is a real pain. When CR builds the trailers the glue and with tanks in place with very little movement. It was very difficult and had to put the valve back without rolling the seal. So I cut a little bit of pipe and put in a rubber union. no problem since BUT I do as Hunter said and keep some water in the bottom of the take to keep the seals from cracking.
