I just want to know if this closet thing is weird or am I weird. I've attached pictures of my entry closet and washer dryer closet. Notice there is not a thing in either one...no shelves...no hangars...no rods.....nothing. So what are you supposed to do with that entry closet? You either just throw everything in a pile in either closet or make storage facilities...or buy some shelves, rods, something. I contacted the factory today and they said what you see is what you get. I just can't imagine a bare closet with absolutely no storage thingys. Any other crossroads owners have closets like this? If so, what do you do to organize your storage?

If so,

I think it is kind of like not getting towel bars and TP holders in the bathroom. Each person has their own ideas and styles. If they put closet rods and shelves in both areas then the person who wants to puta Washer/dryer in there has to remove them. Looks like a great place for a closet wire shelf system.

A gun safe would work in there

I see the reason for the corner closet not having anything. It is for the washer and dryer.

And I agree with Stan for the other not having a rod or shelves. JMHO

our PF36SK had a closet rod mounted from factory in the entry closet for coats, the closet that is plumbed for washer/dryer had two rods mounted, 1 upper and 1 in the center.

The washer/dryer are could have removable shelves or rods which makes that huge storage area usable for the majority of people that don't have a washer/dryer. The front closet is a total mistake. They divided it up almost in half, top to bottom which makes the bottom too small for coats, sweaters, etc. Plus it would take an above-average person to find a way to install any type of hooks, rods, etc. They did install hooks on the outside of the closet big enough to hang key rings, dog leashes, etc. To say they left it open because of individual preference does not apply here because you have zero options. It could have been a perfect entry closet. Instead it's one empty space that you can only pile things on the floor.

Looked in our entry closet and there is a rod for hanging stuff on a hangar, but we use it to keep the DW's step stool (she is vertically challenged), big umbrella's, a big soup pot for corn, picnic table coversand it is the hard liquor cabinet

GeorgeG - I contacted the factory rep (Shannon) and she told me they have never had anything in that closet. She said if I find out otherwise to give her a picture. Any chance you would be willing to take a picture of the rod installed in your closet? I suppose I could come up with something but I just don't feel like I should have to finish building this thing. This is my 13th 5th wheel and the first time I've ever seen a closet just a big empty hole in the wall. So if you would be willing to take a picture maybe I can get Crossroads to finish the construction.

I will post a picture for you, but it will probally not be until July 29th or 30th. The CG we are at now does not have internet. Wednesday afternoon I will be at Hershey and they have WiFi.

GeorgeG - Perfect! Now I can send to the factory. Guess I can also just say screw it and put in a rod like yours. I guess though they could at least provide the rod and hardware. Well that should do it. Thanks again

Your welcome. Glad I could help. The rod came in there and the DW saved some small hangars for in there, but we do not hang anything in there. It works good as a place to put the hard liquor, Dw's step stool, outside table cloths and misc. stuff like that.
