The sheet metal wrap on the king pin area where the electrical cord comes out we have an open place a very good place for wasp and etc. Has anyone closed this area up? If so can you tell me what you did?

We have an '01 Paradise Pointe with the same type of kingpin box but bigger. Here in AZ, the Road Runners like to build their nests in it. Last year we stayed home 3 extra weeks until 3 eggs hatched. Since then I have cut down a cardboard box to a size that will fit into the kingpin box and stay in place without any need for tape (force fit.) When we travel I take it along just in case. So far no birds, no wasps.

BillF, that can be a problem, someone told me they have headed off camping without checking and baby birds were in the Kingpin area and of course they diedand the smell was unpleasant. I had someone fabricate sheet metal around the area and will use caulking and Gorilla tape for back up to fill in the small holes to prevent wasp from entering.

I agree it could be a problem if you don't check, but the cardboard is easily removed and the check is automatic when we hitch-up because that is also the spot where I store my lights/brake connection cord.
