Aluminum Jack Stabilizers

I got a 25% off coupon from CampingWorld and was looking at adding a set of 4 jacks for additional stabilization on the trailer. Anyone have any experience with these? For 25 bucks for four it seems like a good deal and they "nest" inside each other so they pack nicely even if i only use them for our extended stay destination basecamp on our longer trips. Our electric stabilizer jacks are ok but still some wobble. I read a blog where someone said it helps to stabilize the folding steps.

I use the stacking jacks, two in front and two behind the axles. Noticeable improvement.

Personally I think they are more stable than the crank down jacks. Back in the day - yes I am that old- that was your only option. Then someone started attaching the scissor jacks from cars to the camper frame. you could buy 4 from a junk yard for a song and you did not have to have a place to store the stack jacks. The crank down jacks always seemed to have some wobble.

I remember to use the stack jacks you would lower the front of the camper by about 1/2 bubble then put the rear jacks under then raise the camper past level put the front ones under then lower the tongue jack and you were level and rock solid.

Thanks for the feedback. Only thing is now and days these are mostly aluminum. I’ve read many a tale of people trying to trim the level and they literally shatter.

It was a impulse buy since they were actually free with my Good Sam renewal.

I have only seen the aluminum ones when we had ours. Now I had a uncle that welded up a set that was steel. worked just fine but kind of heavy.

I have wanted to get those to help with the wobble for a couple of years now, I will have to look to see if I have a coupon like that somewhere and try to find them in camping world.

I thought I had a set of 4 out in the shed. I was going to say anybody that wanted them was welcome to em. I just went out and looked, and only spotted 2.

Same offer still goes tho.

Thanks for the offer. Just a thought Lloyd, why don’t you need them? I ask because I got them thinking it would shore up any play of my power stab jacks.

Use them. They work pretty good in my opinion. Definitely better than without. Sometimes I need to tighten them up occasionally if they settle in the ground or back off, not sure which. I crank them pretty tight.

I use a set of wheel chalks that I made. Plus a set of stabilizers that have pretty well taken most of the wobble out.

I am not sure which jacks OhioMark is referring to. I use the ones below, one under the stairs and one under the rear bumper and they work very well. They fold up very nicely. Also from Camping World, also with a 25% off coupon. but closer to $40 each. They had a deal on buying two.

Maybe I didn't understand what he meant. I thought he was referring to these.
But I think you have the better of the two for stabilizing.
