Does anyone know of any shops in the Dallas, TX area that willremount the trailer axles to under the springs? My son needs to increase the ground clearance on his unit. This seems like a bit more than we want to tackle ourselves. The RV dealer referred him to a spring shop but they didn't do that work.

Russ, I am not sure that they will do spring work, but I have used Collision Specialists in Mansfield for several repairs on my 5-er and have been extremely happy with their work. They are fast / friendly / and reliable.
I have used Laszlo Sears with great results.

I am not affiliated with them but, I do trust them

I don't know about flipping the axles but I've had two 5th Wheel campers lifted by a fab shop that cut the spring hangers off; then welded a 4 x2 inch boxed, thick wall steel tubing to the frame; then welded the spring hangers back on for a 4 inch lift. Of course, the fab shop must make sure the axles are aligned when welding them back up so the camper tracks straight. I never had any problem from this method on either camper and the 4 inch lift really helped with the clearance I needed between the sides of the pickup bed and the overhang on the camper.
