Mine is a 2013 f150, and the center head rest is out of mine just like john's.
She must be missing something.

We added a backup camera using an outdoor camera from X10.com.
Its wireless with POE (power over Ethernet) that I have hardwired into the on board router.

The router has enough signal to ensure we can view the camera from the cab of the tow vehicle using our android tables or phones.

We also view the camera while in bed and via remote if connectivity allows.

We are looking for the enclosure to allow us to have PTZ cameras. (Pan Tilt Zoom)

This will allow for viewing 360 around the StormPOD.

Most people slow down only because I am a slow driver.

Only 4 more outings until the end of our season. Starting pre-end-of-season sadness.

If I only had all the time OhioMark has.

We have a friend visiting us who also has a Ford truck and he is very handy, so he removed the middle head rest in our daughter's truck in very short order. That's the good news. The bad news is you still cannot see the hitch. It is a short box, so the hitch is closer to the cab than the hitch in our long box truck and you still cannot see it.

The head rest had to go back in so she can hang the back up camera on it.

I have basically the same truck.
I took the center head rest out and when I want to hook up, I stick this magnet on the hitch.

Works like a charm.

Interesting! I will see that she is aware of that, although the camera is working for her.

I am pretty adept at hooking up my TT, boat, Misc trailers that I have at my disposal with no problem. May have to get out a time or two but then I got usually have it. One day on a whim I saw those extendable magnet tennis ball things cheap so I bought them. I found them to be completely worthless. When placed on the trailer tongue it must sit on a flat spot or will not stick and stand like it is supposed to. I have never seen a coupler that had a FLAT TOP. Waste of money in my opinion.

Mark and Al, I will run that by the wife. Honey, we need a new fifth wheel and new truck so I can use my $12 dollar hook up helper! I do like the way you guys think.

Tim, they work great on the flat surface of the 5th wheel hitch.

I am sure they do. Coupler on a TT, not so much.
