Bumper grill

Have a new 2017 Sunset Trail 290QB and the bumper grill that it came with is pure garbage. The grill wouldn't fit on the posts. So there I am on our first camping trip with the new trailer, hammering the posts inwards for the grill to fit. Once done, the gas quick connection is messed up and the grill's side handle is stripped out.
The dealer will replace it, but I think I don't want it because of poor quality.
Anyone know of a direct fit replacement grill that will fit on the same bumper bracket posts?
Maybe stainless steel?

Many of us have bought regular gas grills, WeberQ, Coleman and place them on a shelf on the swing arm. There are several variations on the 'shelf' but the idea is to come up with a balanced, stable spot for the new wider grill.

There are several threads on here about that.

There are also full replacements. Camper accessories can be invaluable to the serious rv enthusiast.

Do you have pictures of the grill and the bumper mount? My grill was Stainless Steel and it took a few minutes to figure out the bumper mount so that the grill would fit. Once I figured it out, it was easy.

Refer to "upgraded bumper mount grill" forum topic. That is the one I have.

My Weber Q legs fit perfectly in this frame. I also made a cutting board out of UHMW that fits exactly in there. When I first tried to fit my factory grill on the posts I had to pull off the round rubber puck on the second joint. That allowed the arm to open a little wider bringing the posts closer together. Then the BBQ slid on. However, it's junk...so I never used it. Good luck with whatever route you decide to go!
