We currently have to keep a flashlight close to the control panel to turn on the living room or kitchen lights at night. There is no way you can find the light witch on the control panel at night. I know there was a thread on this but I can't seem to find it. Does anybody know where the thread is...different topic area? Does anybody have suggestions how to fix the problem?

I was looking to put a LED light on the inside of the door and have put a switch that activates when the door is open.

But, have not done that yet or looked into the actual parts.

My Kingston is currently in for warranty work so I can't get at the panel but has anybody had the panel off? If so, would this switch work?

The switch is a standard 110vac switch and may be too big. If so I'm sure there are illuminated rocker switches someplace that would fit but I guess I'll have to wait until I can get the panel apart.

I bought some of these a few years ago and put them in several cabinets including the little cabinet for the light switches and control panels. The work perfect for that, they are not "super bright" but plenty bright enough to light up the switch cabinet or the medicine cabinet.Easy install, double stick tape on the light and the little magnet that shuts it off when the door is closed. The only draw back is making sure the cabinet door gets shut, the batteries will die pretty quickly if the light is left on.

I moved the living room light switch to just outside the box. Makes it much easier to find at night and when coming in the entrance door.
