I had a crazy idea about mounting "rear bumper parking sensors" along the top of my TV pointing up to give an indication of overhead obstructions. I haven't thought it all the way through but it seems like it might be doable.
I'd like any thoughts on ways to indicate overhead obstructions that aren't otherwise marked. I do have "Low Clearances" programmed into my GPS but I'm thinking about trees, gas station covers and things like that.

my PP is 13'4" tall and I have never had a problem, I always get out and look before I go into a site, just to be sure, and I stay on the interstates if you see a semi you know your ok, as far as fuel I just use truck stops, I look to refuel when I get to half tank that way I never have to worrry that I may get into a bad situation..

Yeah Daniel I saw those too but they are expensive and don't cover a very wide area. I spoke to the manufacturer and they said that it measures a small point directly above the sensor.<div siber__q92dpb7seovvtbh5__vptr="116c6660" sourceindex="5">I've see overhead obstructions like trees or gas station awnings that don't extend all the way across your rig and come in from either side. I was thinking about something that could cover a much wider area and that is what got me thinking about back up sensors. By the way, I'm still thinking

What about reaching out the window with one of those laser "measuring tapes"? May not work in all situations but if it works.........
