So for those who have done this, would you consider it a must do upgrade, or just something to upgrade when the stock stuff wears out?

Many trips we take end up on unpaved forest roads, been thinking a LOT about beefing up the suspension. This type of insert and beefier leafs as well. No shocks on mine if memory serves.

Has anyone done both (or even just leaf springs) and then compared a before / after? If I have everything apart its only 12 bolts extra and then get new leaf sprints..... Obviously I am leaning towards doing this.

Just remember---you get it to stiff, it will be like riding on and old hay wagon. there has to be some give.
