I also moved the "open to the elements" switches for the electric jacks . Cost about $35 for parts. Now don't have to worry about switches getting corroded and turning on by themselves....hopefully.

Looks like another project for me - rear stabilizer jack switch improvement. Thanks for the pictures!

Our motor and switch has been replaced once.

Crossroads needs a suggestion in-box - "How to improve our RVs" - will reduce warranty work for them.

I bought the parts at Home Depot . But any building supply store will have them . Just have to get some black plastic paint to hide them .

Was there enough wiring to the old switches to reach the new box/switch?

You will be cutting off the connection crimps that go from the white and orange wires to the connector that attaches to the back of the switch. That part won't fit into the box,. I put crimp female connectors on the white and orange wires to mate to the switch male prongs. Make your own ground the same way and ground to the bottom screw of the gray box. Hook up ,put together and done. (follow thw wires to the sw to make sure you connect up properly)
I also cut down the switch plate and reused to make it look factory....to bad CR didn't use the weatherproof enclosures that other trailers do.

Looks like a nice improvement harley. Did you do any additional sealing?

Very nice mod. I am wiring in a master switch, for both stabs and the tongue jack. I may also move the switches. How did you seal and or cover the holes where the switches were?

About sealing up the space where the switches were.....all they did when they put the switches in was to cut the alum and bend it back ....so its still there ,so just bend it back in place and I added a piece of the same black edge guard that is all over the sharp corners . Its under so its not visible .

Just had my switches replaced, and was expecting by now CR would have the dealer do something like this to prevent them from failing again next year. looks like a guy has to just do it himself.
I like the install looks great. A project for me once I get home !
