My stabilizers arrived today so will do the install on Saturday. I promised my kids some backyard camping onSaturday night. Believe me, my crew willput these to the test. If these work as good as claimed... I'll report back on Sunday.

Missing some parts... The washers and the "pad-stiffening" plates. The washers I can get from the hardware store... I think the plates as well.... Just kind of ticks me off....

all set up and ready to go at it and then stop and go to the hardware store... If it was causeI had to buy tools it would be one thing, but not when it is missing parts....

I think you should give up for today and do your wheel bearings AND seals.
Just a thought.

We just came back from our first trip of the year and the first trip with the new stabilizers on the front, I will tell you the difference is amazing, I always had movement in the front, there is none anymore, ita' a 100% better than it was, if you are considering getting them I will tell you to go for it, they are a definate improvement and worth every penny, as I have power jacks on the rear I only had them put on the front, I sure wish I had bought them a year ago....I sold the tri pod and I would buy these agsin without any hesitation, I got the "eliminator stabilizers" from camping world

The end result is definitely worth the $$$. The 5er is much more stable. The install was not that tough, outside of the missing bags of hardware. Other issues, the cable on the spare tire mountwas bound up probably from my lack of maintanance. It'll have to be replaced. And the rear street side stabilizer is right below the water tank drain. I'll just put an elbow on the drain and it'll be good.

Back from our first trip with the Eliminators. Friday night, everything was rock solid, virtually 0 side/side rocking...and this was with no KP tripod. Two trailers had their awnings flipped over the next morning.Last night...Julie had to wake me up when a squall line hit with 40-60 mph staight line winds that were hitting us broad side. Yes, the noise was terrible, the rain was pounding, but the 5er was not rocking like I would have thought in this kind of weather.

Like mbinohio, our only regret, is not getting them alot sooner!

I have an appointment at CW to have ours installed on 4/27. We leave later that week for a trip so we will be able to try them out.

Thanks for the recommendation! We got them installed and they work great. We are going to go camping this weekend with 2 German Shepherd and put them to the test.
Thanks Alicia

Started getting the camper ready for another season and was going to order the stabilizers when I came up with this question.
How do they perform when you are set up on dirt or sand and gravel???
I can see they would work great setting on a cement or blacktop pad. We do a lot of camping in the NP and they are pretty much dirt or at best a little sand or gravel. I have to reset the jacks and tri pod every so often.

Also, are there any differences between --pugit stabilizers and Eliminator stabilizer by ultra fab???

I am not sure about the plug-it-right units, but the Eliminator is appears to be copyright infringement on the JT Strong Arms. As with most jack pads (whether you have stabilizers or not) your only long term solution on unstable soil is to place a larger pad under your jacks to reduce bearing weight per square inch.

I can't speak for this supposed infringement by Eliminator but Plug It Right is not involved. Diana Owner of Plug It Right

We just got back with the trailer after having the Eliminators installed today. We can tell a big difference in the amount of movement the stabilizers took out. We head out Thursday for a trip and will see how they work.

Lloyd, we camp 3 or 4 times a year with some friends from here on the forum at their farm in Northeast Texas and it is real sandy soil. I can't see how the stabilizers would not help no matter what kind of ground you are on.

Well after the first day with the stabilizers we are very impressed with the amount of movement they removed. You have to really be trying to make the trailer move to get very little movement. Well worth the money we spent.
