Does it already have the worthless little fan? If so, the wiring is there.
If not, you'll probably have to pull the trim off the ceiling and check.

I recently switched my standard fan over to a fantastic fan. There is power and it was relatively easy. The hardest part was removing the rubber sealant from the roof.

I agree with the power lines being there, however, if you are also installing the thermostat to activate based on room temps, you won't have that wiring in place.

You can buy the fantastic fan with the remote control then you won't need the thermostat wiring. Its more money, but solves that problem.

Steve
The best thing about Fantastic Fan is you can call them and they will tell you what the best product for you is, they will also walk you through the installation on the phone. They have GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.!!!!!

I had a problem with a bathroom fan, called them and they talked me through the fix. GREAT PEOPLE.

All 3 of mine are wall wired, thermostat controlled. To your point, it only makes sense to upgrade to a wireless type.

Easy replacement for the bathroom with existing power. Not so easy for bedrooms or living rooms where power isn't already there.

Hi,

I put in a fantastic fan over the summer. Great investment. Wireless is the way to go. I agree with Accoster. The roof work was the hardest part.

By the way, if you have the beige (almond) roof sealant, no one sells it. I called Crossroads to buy it direct and customer service sent me two tubes and couldnt figure out the price, so they sent them fedex and didnt charge. Good guys over there. I like to tinker and do my own repairs, the customer service guys are always willing to help me out.

Anyways, fan was a great investment. Got it for 212 on Amazon. Camperworld wanted over 300.

Good luck.
