it was easier than I though. first I found a fireplace that was close to the depth of the cabinet. Then removed the doors and had to cut out center support at the height of top of fireplace.slid it in and fit pretty good. Then I had to extend the electric cord with same gage wire so it would go up side of entertainment centerinside the curved edge and would plug In along with the tv. Then slide fireplace into cabinet and secured it with one screfrw thru the rear of the cabinet to keep it from sliding out. Then finished the front off with some1/2 plywood had to cut slots at top so it could draw in fresh air to heat. Now it was operational I went to lowes and got a box of artificial stone and liquid naile finish stone on front .....Wala! it took one day to complete many comments even from dealer.

How far did you have to extend the cord without increasing the gauge?

Looks good!! Do you miss the storage space that you lost?
All you need now is a bear skin rug.

Wow, nice mod! The pictures sure help explain the process you went thru. Where are the empty beers? What are the two pieces of black material that you stapled in the air vents?

Fireplace

Could you please mention where you got the fireplace. This would be a great mod to attempt. Any info on manufacturer and cost would be appreciated

Thank you
M and C
