Fireplace problem
We recently bought a used 2013 Cruiser Sahara. Since it's chilly here in North Dakota I was going get some organizing done and instead of turning on the furnace I just wanted to take the chill off by turning on the factory installed electric fireplace. After having to restart it once, it worked just fine the first night. The next night, it started, than seemed to overheat and shut down. Anyone else have this experience? Does anyone who what brand of fireplace the factory installed in the 2013 Cruiser.

You might want to check what gauge wire they used when it was wired. Factory has been known to use under size wire on some of their receptacles/etc.
If this is the case on your fireplace, then more then likely, that is the reason it shuts down.
I have one outlet on our camper that won't handle an electric heater running on high. It will shut down after running for a short time.
I remedied that by running a heavier wire to a new outlet.

No I don't. Isn't there a tag, plate, or sticker on it somewhere that states what brand?
Here is a link to a pdf owners manual. Not sure if it's for your model or not. You don't have full make, model, and year listed.

On our cruiser on the inside of a cabinet door in the kitchen is a sort of build sheet that lists all the appliances and there model numbers. Don't know if they still do this or when they stopped if they don't. Maybe someplace to check.

The fireplace in our Sunset Trail was manufactured by Twin Starr International.

Got a picture of the fireplace?
Also. Mine would blow the breaker
I took it apart was just full of dust from time.
Cleaned it out. Drop on oil on the motor works great

Our fireplace on/off switch is under a flip down panel along the bottom along with a couple rheostats that control flame height, bright/dim. On the far right is another rheostat that is a thermostat. We adjust it to control when the fireplace fan/heater comes on/off based on how much heat we want. Just a thought.

Fireplace problem
Thanks KECoates, for replying to my problem. It sounds like you have the same kind of fireplace we do. We have what you mentioned under the flip down panel. Unfortunately I tried that with no solution. Do you know, by any chance, what brand the fireplace is?

Ditto to Oliver's post. Attached is a picture of the label on the back of the unit.
Could be wiring problem or built in thermostat may be faulty. The fireplace on mine was quite easy to remove but the power cord was trickier. It snakes through a hole behind the enclosed radio cabinet and out a hole to the 110v receptacle in the bottom cabinet. A little patience needed.
Put it on the bench at home (its cold outside here) and hook it up to 110v. If it works OK then its the wires in the trailer. If not, you have all winter to work on it in the warmth of you home.

There is one more file after these. Sorry they are sideways. I rotated them but it didn't work on the upload.
