How's your sofa replacement holding up?

I thought the fake leather on my tri-fold sofa was holding up pretty well, despite reading the many posts about the dreaded "pleather degradation". Went camping this weekend after letting the camper sit for nearly 5 months and lo and behold, the pleather was literally crumbling on each sit and now looks like hide suffering from 2nd and 3rd degree burns.

For those who have purchased replacement furniture, what brand did you get and how's it holding up after a few years? If all fake leather is going to crumble in the heat and humidity after 3 or 4 years, I just might have to consider cloth or real leather.

Our 2013 furniture gave out last winter. We full time. We too Macy's furniture. In January. After 6 months of B/S with their warehouse blunders. We sent it all back. One would think 3k for a couch & love seat. They would be the cats meow. Nope. First one was used, second damaged, third looked like someone had sat in it for 10 years.
We are now waiting 8 weeks for some new Flexsteel furniture. Never thought I signed up for a nightmare, for just some simple furniture.

So far we are satisfied with what we bought from RecPro.
We ordered right from the factory. It was fast delivery, and the install was fast and simple.
Plus, it's comfortable.

How long have you had the Rec Pro Lloyd? Do you feel the faux leather on the Rec Pro is of better quality than the original (Lippert, Payne?) sofa covering?

I think we had it about 3 years. ( can't remember for sure.)
The sleeper we had before was factory and cloth covered. Most uncomfortable thing I've ever seen.
I'm not sure that the RecPro is faux leather.

Give them a call, they're willing to answer your questions, even send you a sample of the material.

Check Costco. They have a great dual reclining chaise with the storage in the middle and the cup holders as shown in PaPa-T's photo. The leather is very thick and substantial and the sewing is heavy duty. They offer the dual recliner for $999 and two separate recliners that look the same for $469 each.

Our slide isn't big enough to accommodate one like Papa-T has. This is just a double reclining love seat.
