JT Strong Arms

I am considering installing JT Strong Arm stabilizers on my 2011 Cruiser 31.5 RE. The issue I am concerned about is no crossmember between the frame right at the front of the 5th wheel. Has anyone solved this issue and installed something to bolt the strong arms into ?

No crossmember required. The JT Strong arms aren't there to support the weight of the unit, only to stabilize movement side to side and front to back through triangulation. The kit comes with stiffeners that the bolts go through in the front compartment and there is no movement. Your front compartment is stronger than you think but the stiffeners do the trick.

WildWildWest is correct. No cross member is required. No matter which stabilizer system you choose to install.

I don't have experience with JT Strong Arms. I installed SteadyFast on mine. Pretty easy install. I'm sure they both make a good product, but with SteadyFast there's only 3 bars to install therefore only 3 places to adjust when setting up and that's why I decided on SteadyFast. I called with a question and the owner himself answered the phone and was very nice and helpful.

The Steadyfast system bolts to the frame of the rig and the pad that contacts the ground. We have had the system on our Kingston for 2 years now and it really works. The longer rods going across the width of the rig are a better angle. I think they are worth the little extra cost.

I am of the same opinion and had the exact same experience as Chris mentioned. Steadyfast has made a huge difference in our enjoyment of the last three years' camping, especially the two month annual Spring trips.

To all the members here using some sort of sway support.

WHAT are you doing in the Rv to make it sway so much?

What's the old camping saying "If the propane tanks are knocking don't come a knocking".

My husband would probably like that one.
