Another of my mods was adding led's to the water heater switches just to let me know which switch is turned on (electric or gas). I just didn't like not being able to tell at a glance. Not real important to some people, but it was to me. They are low power 3mm amber led's so draw only a tiny bit of power and are not very bright. I also have a volt meter to let me know the exact battery voltage. Our camping in virtually all boondocking. Along with that I added a battery switch and ammeter. I run 2 batteries separate from each other in case I accidentally drain one I still have one fully charged. The ammeter is a zero center type so it shows me how much current is being used at any one time. If the battery is being charged, it shows me what the charging rate is.

Well done. Nice clean installation. How long is your cable run on battery switch?

The run didn't change for battery #1 (the switch is right at the converter), and battery #2 was only about 6 feet.

Nice set up - too bad the manufactures don't provide the units with better monitoring equipment.

That is a "very" nice looking mod. Well done. If I didn't already have one on my solar controller, I would sure go for that.
Nice job!!

Thanks. It would look even better if the components the factory put in were centered on each panel. I'll probably replace the wood panels and line everything up properly (next year).

Jim, you might want to contact Crossroad customer service to see if you can get a couple of blank panels that match the interior for your model, etc.

Larry & Jean,
Do they normally do something like that? I have an rv supply company about 30 miles away that actually has the matching paneling (4x8' sheets) for about $33 each. I was planning on picking one up sometime this winter.

If your unit is fairly new, they should be able to help you. But you live so much closer to RV suppliers than we do. We would have to rely on our RV dealer who would not be much help. Sounds like you have it covered, so to speak. Good luck.
I have some mods that I want to get done over the winter also. I better start making a list!
Jean

Jim,
My son lives in Clio, near Birch Run. We were there a month ago and looked for a campground near him. Found Holiday Shores in Durand, nice place, 90% seasonal, 517 sites, we're looking at stopping there next year on the way to the rally. Nice setting, with a golf course next to it, and very inexpensive. they were very accommodating, I'm sure we'll enjoy it. I have friends in Owosso too, so we go back every year to see them so it will work well for us.
Travel well,
Jim
