Cowboy_71, The wires seemed short. With a little tug I got about 2 more inches, then Iused wire nuts and black tape. I might go back after this trip and solder/shrink wrap them. Wow are they bright compared to the old lights. and I have 2 replacement lens'

Just as Chuck did, I pulled the wires out from the wall. I did not used the supplied connectors, instead I used butt connectors. For caulk, I have a tube of Silaprene Royal Seal 1000 that Randy @ Crossroads gave me a couple of years ago. Good stuff, but tricky to work with. Dicor would also work well. My tube of Silaprene is about spent, Hunter11 listed where to buy it here. http://crossroadsrv.com/forum/search...p;KW=silaprene

Installed the led tail lights referenced above...didnt take long, nice and bright, tomorrow will seal the lens with caulk...thanks all for this great mod....much better!...the new product with the light bulb has no blue connectors while the old one did, first shipment I got had one side with blue connectors and bulb and other side had no connectors and bulb too, after some confusion and an email they sent replacement for one without light bulb

Thanks rgbeach!!! Your post was most timely. I took my 30SK out last week for our first camping trip of the year. We had trouble getting the rear trailer lights to work. It seems that water had gotten into the lights over the winter and rusted the connector. I had to clean the connectors and replace both bulbs. I told the DW that I was going to look for an alternative. Ordered mine on Tuesday, and received them today. Great service from Command. It will be a week or two before I do the install, as I had knee surgery yesterday.

I did this mod and now anyone following me in daylight can easily see my brake lights. Well worth the cost.

I did the led tail - brake light mod, from command.
