I know that this was discussed before but just a reminder to check your deadbolt lock on all brand and model of Rv's. If you have a Fastec lock check out this webpage to see if your deadbolt is part of the recall.http://www.fastecindustrial.com/
My Cruiser Patriot is affected and after calling them they are sending a new deadbolt lock to replace the defective one.

Shouldn't CrossRoads notify us if we are affected? Or at least send a heads up to check? They have all of our info on file? Unfortunate they haven't been proactive on this.

I read on another forum that Fastec had contacted the Rv owner. They must have gotten his info from his Rv manufacturer: Forest River. Don't know of anyone getting contacted by Crossroads.

Fortunately I'm not affected by this recall. I checked last night to make sure.

Thanks again, I just checked and we have one set for recall. Their phone number goes to voicemail with a full inbox so I filled out the form online and submitted.
Looks like for under $10 you can Re-Key the unit anyway so that's my backup plan.

I filled out the on-line form over two months ago. As of yet, no reply.

Ya. Crossroads won't contact you on this. The recall was put out about 2 years ago. Your dealer won't even contact you either. We did contact the lock company even though our locks where not on the list. They sent us new deadbolt cylinders. They won't be the same key as the upper lock. So you have 2 keys per door lock.

Fastec sent me two cylinders, one for the deadbolt and one for the top as well as new keys to match and the "control key" to accomplish the switch out.

Good news for you. One key for both locks is so nice to have.

Sure enough, just did our first trip this weekend with the new ZF31BH and guess what, the back door key spun 180 and jammed over the weekend. Had to take the lock apart from the inside to get the key out. Called fastec industrial this afternoon soon as we got back and two new door locks with matched keys are in the mail, no questions no fuss. Thank you "mark5w" for the starting the post

Do you all have the CH751 key on the baggage compartments? I was told that most all RV's have the same key on the baggage compartment cam locks. It concerned me enough that I swapped them out early on.

Yup. Dealer told me to go get my swapped out as all the trailer storage doors are keyed the same supposedly. My old trailer had the same CH751 as well.

Thanks for posting this Mark5W!

Bought a used 2012 Sunset Trail Reserve 26BH this year and sure enough, both doors have affected locks. Just submitted the forms for the recall.

It's things like this that continually show the immense value of an online community such as CRO!

Same deal here. They had 4 new tumblers sent out to me with 4 new keys very quickly. Easy to change. I had to pick one of my locks because the tumbler wasn't in the right position for removal. (previous owner lost the keys...) Scary how easy that was.
Now all of my keys match!
