More mods

I added a small backsplash because there was some ugly yellow glue where something used to be.

I am in the middle of cutting out carpet and putting vinyl in the living room and hall. I will post pictures when done.

I finished the bunkhouse

The backend of my 98 Cari-lite 5th wheel originally had two chairs and a table. It has a fold out sofa bed on the slide, but when it is open, you can't walk through to the door.

I took out the chairs and rebuilt the backend where there was water damage. I put in a futon, but didn't like it. I stumbled into a beautiful jack_knife sofa, and decided to build a bunkhouse so we don't have to use the sofabed.

A lot of hours later and here it is. I might tweak it a bit yet. There are TVs built into the upper and lower. The dog has taken up residence in the lower.

My next model is going to be to take out the florescent bulbs in the fixtures and put led wdge bulbs in. If I keep the fixtures themselves, I can do all 10 for around $20.

TV and fireplace

I just got done with the modifications to the entertainment center in my 98 Carri-lite. It had a large deep hole for an old tv. If we put things there, the would shift and block the slide. The top had a mirror that backed to a deep cabinet in the bathroom.

1) I took out part of the cabinet and flush mounted a flat screen tv on a pull out mount. I added some decorative mirrors back over top.

2) I installed a flush mount fire place.

3) To access the space behind the fire6, I cut an access into the end wall and added a white board as a cabinet door.

I also install6some led strip lights above the slide, and I can match the light color to the fireplace color.

I am getting a wall mount dvd/cd player/ FM radio, so that will probably go on the end wall as well as some kind of remote holder because there are now a ton of remotes.

They have a usb connection. It drops down the side of the slide and I used a usb plug and plugged them into the wall socket. They were $10 at Walmart.
