RSCREES, Once you remove the breaker panel you'll see where all the wires go through to the compartment. Wasn't hard at all. Hardest part was cutting the siding mentally I didn't wont to have to repair a hole in the siding.

Cajun TBoy, the installation of the rope lights looks great, now I want to install them on our unit. May I ask Why would you want the extra leads? If you had extra leads would you mind telling me how that installation would be different?

On adding the outlet box on the outside of the rv, what would be the drawback on putting the outlet box on the outside of the storage door? We would need something to pull the excess wire out of the way when the door was closed.

That would be, "spend the money for L E D's" (Light Emmitting Diodes). Not "spend the money for extra leads" LOL!!!!
