How well does the Smart Tile stuff clean up from grease splatters near the range?

It has a slick surface so that's no problem. We've had this in for a year now and never had a problem, steam, heat, splatter, temps above 100 or below -19.

So far so good

I hate to call it titles even though it looks just like them. It's sheets that are maybe a 1/8" thick and are very flexible so it's easy to cut with a knife and straight edge.
Yes, I did remove all the box plates just like painting or wallpaper. If you have difficult cuts to make ( like our two level countertop with rounded edge) I just made a paper or cardboard pattern first and transferred that to the back of the title sheet for a more accurate pattern. The titles do overlap each other so that helps if you are working with a not to vertical corner or surface.
I started on the inside vertical corner and worked my way up and across the wall from the counter top so when I got to the top (under the cabinets) if it was off a little it wouldn't be visible. There is a trim wood piece under the cabinet that you can remove and in some cases the wall is flexible enough you can slip the sheet behind the cabinet, trim or microwave for a clean appearance.

I don't have a part numbers for this pattern or color, nothing showing on my last package. These are made in Canada and they call the process printed sheets and some patterns or colors my come in different sizes. I know Home Depot only had two colors and patterns listed when I ordered these from the web site last summer. No Stores carried these in our area.

Hope this helps
Lowe's also sells similar peel and stick tiles.....

John, we are going to order our Smart Tiles and were wondering how much to order. I will measure the area, but how much extra do we need to order to cover waste? The web site 10%, but we are wondering how accurate that is. We can see where you would lose some while matching up the tiles on the next sheet.

Thanks.

I ordered 3 boxes and thats 6 per box. When I was done I had 2 tiles left and I wanted some extra just in case. I used as many cut pieces as possible. They do over lap about 3/8" on one side (finger joints) as you work your way across. We have a 335SS and I worked my way up from the counter tops and across from the Fig. wall going to the left. I tried to kept the squares parallel with each surface even though they aren't really straight or square. With the over lap on your tiles there is room to compensate. The nice thing about going up is you can push the wall panel out (or back) enough and slip the tile behind it and the trim strip in most places. This also worked around the stove hood.

Hope this helps,

We ordered three boxes of the Smart Tiles and they will be in next week. Our local lumber yard sells them. Now we will look at the videos online and get ready for the project!

We got our Smart Tiles and are ready to start the project. Might do it next week if we get the time.

We did the exact same tile on our Rushmore Monticello. Love the looks. It was very easy to do. Nice job on yours.

We did it! It took all day, and these Smart Tiles aren't cheap, but we love the result!

Thanks so much, John for sharing this in the first place. We would never have thought to do this.
