New Fireplace

I added a fireplace to my 270bh. It still needs some cosmetic work but it seemed to work. I also really wanted a fireplace for some reason. Used it last weekend it was in the high 30s low 40s overnight. It heated the entire camper no problem.

Not being familiar with the inside of that particular trailer, I have to ask.
Did you install it under the entertainment center, and is that right on the other side of the wall from the bed?

Looks nice. I have been wanting to install one, but don't want to give up the storage space.

You'll love that fireplace. When I first saw one years ago I thought who would want that. Now I know. Wouldn't be with out one. Why use LP when you can heat off the campgrounds electric.

That was my same initial thoughts, and now I love it. I like setting the temp and never waking up to the roar of the furnace very twenty minutes!

Lloyd: Yes it is. I had to get a narrow depth fireplace. It is a zero clearance insert but it does not touch the back wall.

I did save some space, granted I lost most of it it still serves as cubby spots.

We don't have a fireplace, but we do have three space heaters we use when at a campground, just so we don't have to heat with propane. How- ever, the campgrounds in our area just raised the rates for campsites with 50 Amp service by about 50% over 30Amp service. Oh well, I kinda figured something like this was going to happen sooner or later.

I love our fireplace. We use it all the time when cool enough to do so. It does a great job. We can also spin it around to face into the bedroom. We turn down the temp and lower the flame effects and it creates a nice ambiance.
