A very quick mod to stop the fridge on propane while filling; install an exterior switch wich cuts the 12 volts to the fridge. I used a push button on-off swith Inside the exterior ventilaton plastic grid , on the left in line with the middle opening ; cut the first plastic "cross" to give room for the middle finger to get through, use a finger from a rubber glove to cover the switch to keep the elements off ( or use an exterior switch) Whenstopping to fill the tank just press thwe switch to cut the flame , fill the car and after the fumes have dissipated push the button again, the fridge will start in 10 seconds.

I have a question. Are all refrigerators 12V / gas? When connected to shore power, does it convert 110V to 12V? We have a Norcold frig. Thanks.

MOST rv frigs are gas/110. How do you keep frig cold wen traveling 6-10 hour in summer heat?
Don't need switch when in the diesel truck island

Frig is Gas/110. Frig panel and gas ignition is 12 volt. If frig is up to temp it will hold cold 4-6 hrs if not overfilled and has some air space. That is true in the northeast southern climes may vary. Shore power is 110 when frig is not on gas.

Oops hit the wrong button.
We have gone 8-10 hrs in +30C(80+f) temps with fridge off. Everything still cold &/or frozen .Just don't stand in front of fridge with the door open. LOL
