If the hole is 7=8 inches deep, you should be able to mount a flat screen in it.When the mounts are folded back, they don't take up but about 3-4 inches and a flat screen about 3-5 inches should work out.My intertainment center is only 7-8 inches deep and I put a 26 inch Veizo in it using a swing out mount. It fits flush with the edge of the unit.

I have a 2009 CF31SB, the hole on mine is deep enough and wide enough for my 26" Samsung LCD with mount arm. The slide clears fine.

26" RCA from Walmart fits quite well.I imagine most 26" TV's would fit, and there are some out there that are as tall as they are wide which in my opinion would be the best fit.

Add another one for the 26" Vizio from Wally-world. I had to scrap the original mounting bracket and use a universal flat screen mount for mine. I then take an expandable closet rod wrapped in pipe insulation and install at an angle from lower left to upper right in front of the tv. Trips to MN, IN, MO, IA and everything stays secure....

I did the same thing with the curtain rod for the Vizio 22" in the opening in the Sunset Trail. The Vizio fits like it was made for the opening and will rest in there with the bottom sitting on the shelf. I thought it rode so securely at first that I felt I didn't need the curtain rod. Upon reaching a campsite in Oregon, I opened the trailer door to my worst nightmare...the TV laying face down on the floor. It had pulled the wall plug connection w/the 12V outlet out of the wall and then the coax connector separated from the cable plug. Found the bottom knob that holds theTV to the swivel wall mount had come loose and let the thing fall. I think CR changed the wall mount in '09. Thinking the worst, I wondered if they had a Wal-Mart or Target in Tillamook, OR for a replacement. Then I plugged the TV in, searched for channels and found it worked as good as before. Was truly amazed and impressed with the Vizio brand. I've heard of manufacturers of cordless phones, cell phones, calculators, etc. building their products to survive a 5' "drop test" but I don't think it applies to TVs!Now, with the curtain rod in place, there are no worries.
