We have the same lights as Lonnie, and we also had to replace them with much smaller bulbs so we did not look like the circus had come to town when we camped.

I had to put these up EVERY time with our Cruiser, but we don't use the awning as much with the PP because of the pain in the .... BACK..... with setting it up and I cannot take it down in rush if weather turns bad, so we don't use the lights as much anymore.

I want to put low voltage lights under the camper that will shine on the ground around the trailer at night and do away with the awning lights, but have not talked the DW into it yet. Just got her to agree to use the plug to light up the running lights while camped.

What we need is a rope light that has a built in bead along one side so it can be slid into the groove on the awning roller. That way you could just unplug the rope and roll the lights up in the awning if in a hurry.

Our patio lights consist of some mini-globe (approx 4in) lights with some mini LED(3/4in) bulbs stranded together that I hang from the awning. I have a larger gloge light that hangs on one end of the awning, and a US flag windsock on the other end. I also a half round Betsy Ross flag I got at CW that I hang at mid-point on the awning flap. Then I have a set of 70's vintage awning lights Susan got at a garage sale that I span from at mid-point on the awning arms. Then for some soft ambiance lighting, I have some red-white-blue rope lights that I lay on the ground for a "glow" under the RV and sets us apart from the rest of the people in the campground. Also, the rope lights look cool reflecting in the aluminum wheels. This sets up quick & looks good when its all done!

i have been shamed you all are much more elaborate than our minature coleman lantern lights.however we use em boondocking too as they are battery powered and Deanna clips them on with black binder clips from office supplies.plus she has a keychain to match. Now if coleman would make a minature lantern beer bottle opener the world would be perfect
