My wife is a wildlife photographer, digital camera with EYEFI cardsand laptops are always in the rig. I help with the editing so we must be able to move files between laptops. Also the EYEFI cards require a secure"known" connection to auto download the cameras to the laptops.
We installed a wireless N router, mounted to the wall behind the T.V. That provided the known secureconnection the EYEFI cards require, but we had to disconnect from the onboard router to connect to any campground wifi. We repurposed an old laptop as an internet connection gateway. Use the old laptop to connect to the campground wireless, then bridge the connection to the Ethernet LAN port. Lan port connected to the incoming internet port on the router, waaalaaaa! Now have internet on a secure connection. Old laptop does any special logging in that is required at some campgrounds and is left on with the screen off. So far works great!
Hamops- will try to do that and get back to ya, but it really is simpler than it sounds.
Texas1949- if there is no camp ground wifi, then no wifi, but the cards will still download to the laptops because of the Cruiser's intranet (router). Right now can't afford one of the portable wifi cards, and don't have a large enough cell phone plan, soooo we rough it
