I think the old pin box is probably less then 50#. Actually, it seemed pretty light and flimsy after I got it out. The MorRyde is a different story---About 150# You will know you got a hold of something different.

I had the same problem and discovered that one of my shocks broke. Â*If you don't have shocks, I'd recommend them. Â*Before the shock broke, I could leave even a glass of water on the counter and it would still be there. Â*

When I changed mine out I used a transmission jack, just dropped the old pin replaced it with new one using the jack and was ready to go in less than 1/2 hour.

Good info here. I think i will start saving up for these goodies.. My last trip i was thinking how nice it would be to have shocks. So i am also looking for a shock kit.. Then i bumped into this about pin box's to solve my chucking/bucking. Went to tweeties to look at stuff.

I have a lipp1621
On tweet's it states "Lipperd 1621 long style" And "Lipperd 1621 shd long style"
Anyone know the difference? My camper is in storage now. Tough to get to. I might have to wait till spring now to address my new mods.

I replace my pin Box last spring with the Demco Glide Ride one of the best thing I have done. I think that all Lipperd pin boxes are the 1621. I just checked the one I took off in the Garage and that is what it is. When I bought my unit they said it had the long pin boxes for Short Wheel Base trucks. It took me 20 minutes to replace the pin Box I used an automatic transmisson jack to hold it in place. The other thing I would suggest is the Equa- Flex suspension I installed this on the Zinger that I had previously. when ordering this get the wet bolt kit. Good Luck

The equa-flex is the best thing I did to my camper for the chucking. that and making my camper level to my truck.
