quartz heater

I bought a large room quartz heater at Walmart for about 70 dollars. It has a thermostat and keeps the whole trailer warm

I'm in the process of researching the right heater for our needs. What make and model did you purchase? Were you able to run anything else while the heater was on?

Thanks. I've been searching through the forums to see what others have used as well. That thread looks quite useful. Just noticed this one was fairly new.

I bought one of these http://www.amazon.com/DeLonghi-HMP15.../dp/B005MMN75G for $50 last fall at BJ's. I haven't used it in my camper, but I did turn it on in my 400+ sq. ft. den this past winter. It did a good job there. I like it because there is no fan.

I have two quartz heaters I bought both from Walmart and they are different brands. They don't pull a lot of power so we are able to run everything else with no problem. When I looked today they are cheaper than when I bought mine.

We ended up picking up an inexpensive heater from Amazon. Worked perfect for our trip. Memorial day weekend we arrived to some fresh snow on the ground and some freezing temps. More snow fell around dinner time. Set the Space heater in the center of our kitchen on the lowest setting for overnight, bedroom door open, and a couple roof vents just cracked open, made for the perfect sleeping climate through the entire trailer.

The first night we had the furnace set really low, but even set at 50 it kicked on too frequently and felt a lot warmer. Warmer than I wanted for sleeping.
