Remodel bedroom

Purchased a gently used 2006 Crossroads Zinger 5th wheel. We love it except for the bedroom. We're finding it very crowded with closets on both sides and cupboards above.
Thinking of removing at least one of the closets. We thought about cutting the closets down and just have them bed height with a counter top but the closet doors are only mirrors and frames so we would have to purchase matching drawer fronts or doors.
Also want to either remove or pad the headboard as hubby keeps skinning his head on the boards (he is tall and bald)
Wondering if pulling out a closet or taking off the head board would be difficult and would it be wallpapered behind. Don't want the changes to be too drastic if we want to sell it down the road.
If anyone has done a reno like this can make suggestions or send pictures, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

If you know someone good at woodworking, you could cut down the closet doors and reuse them. Replace the mirror with a wood panel and stain to match or pad to match headboard. As far as the headboard, I know of a few that removed the headboard and took it to an upholsterer to get it padded. You could even do that yourself.
Good luck.
