Has anybody removed the white plastic kitchen sink and replaced it with a stainless steel? Is it glued in or installed like a regular home sink? The white sink in the kitchen stains so badly and the only way I can keep it clean is to pour bleach on it and let it soak.

We have replaced ours. It is installed with the clips and there is silacone around the edge. The hole may be the size of a bar sink but we cut ours open and took the shelf out for a deeper sink.

Do you have a corian countertop? I'm looking for clips and can't find any.

We do not have the corian counter top. If you can't find any clps then it may only be siliconed in.

If your countertop is corian (solid surface) then most likely your sink is also solid surface and is permanently bonded to the bottom side of the counter. This is standard practice for most sinks installed on solid surface tops, whether they might be stainless steel or solid surface sink material. You will do immense damage to the top in trying to remove the sink without removing the top and then separating the sink with the proper materials.

I don't know if this will help or not but we are doing a kitchen remodel at home I am having all quartz counter tops installed over an undermounted stainless stell sink, the stone guy said that they use a special clip the goes into the stone to hold the sink, I would think you can find the clips you need at a home improvement store that sells the corian, might be worth a shot..

Thanks for the info everyone. Does anybody have any idea why these sinks stain so badly? Has anybody ever had this type of sink coated with something that prevents stains?

mine is also plastic, but it's a grey or silver color, I think it's supposed to match the brushed nickle in the rest of the camper, the bathroom sink is the same, it looks good, no stains..and the wife uses just a regular non abrasive cleaner on it.

We have the white plastic sink and after much complaining and trying to remove the stains DW discovered an effortless way to remove the stains. She fills the sink with hot hot water and a couple coffee size scoops of Oxyclean dissolved in the hot water. She lets it sit for 2 to 3 hours and presto it is clean. As a bonus she adds her dirty dish towels and sink savers which also come out clean.

I replaced plastic sink last summer in our 30SK. Problem will be getting one to fit, as RV sinks are smaller than in house.I found one at Lowe's (stainless steel)that was 2" narrower than others, and it just fit, but is a little longer than plastic. Lowe's was only place that had one narrower, and it wason saletoo!Is alot nicer looking,has more room than original, and won't scratch or gouge. Also replaced faucet withregular one and put in water filter for drinking water. Sink had clips to hold in place, then caulked around outside to keep water from getting under edge. Had to enlarge hole in counter and cut slots for clips to keep from cutting hole too large, buttook time and did a little at a time.Couldn't make hole as large as template, as template hole was too large for available countertop - I cut so that sink fit snugly in opening. Easy to take more counter out, can't put more counter in tho.

Wontontr......I too have the 30SK and after looking at the way the sink was installed,I didn't thinkI could find a replacment. Can you pass along the brand and part number of the sink you found?I may be doing the same thing. Thanks.

Also, check this link out; http://stores.ebay.com/Dawiff-Sinks-and-Faucets?_rdc=1, found a sink to fit our PF36SK when I remodeled and put in solid surface counters with full cover over the range. Ours is an undermount, but they have drop in units also, and many smaller sizes that may work for you.
