Tim , get inside your switch panel and change two wires around to make the bottom left switch operate the ceiling lights. that way you just have to feel for the bottom left corner of the panel and that is the proper light to turn on.....easy peasy.

Yep. The old school analog thermostats were either millivolt or 24v. With these newer digital units, they will operate on a variety of lower voltage combinations.
