I am not sure if this is where I should post this but just wondering if there are any threads out there discussing the insulation in the the underbelly of the Crossroads Seville. Â*Ours has what looks like aluminum bubble wrap, very thin, we were shocked to see it, it hardly seems like it would offer any warmth. Â*Am I correct in thinking there probably is already a discussion on this subject somewhere on the forum, if so could someone point me in the right direction, I don't really know what to use as a search topic, as I am not sure what this stuff is called?

There should be batt insulation between the bubble wrap and the floor of the trailer.

Hunter11, are you kidding me, holy cow we have no batting whatsoever, we have an aluminum type bubble wrap and nothing else. Â*My hubby was shocked as he could see the whole length of the trailer with lots of wires just hanging loose which he also though was weird as they did not even make an attempt to tie them up or bundle them, does this sound normal?

I believe Hunter11 is saying there's batting between the sub floor and the cross members. This is also where the infloor ducting runs are for the heating system. There are construction pictures on the actual CrossRoads web site. As for the wiring, believe it or not they are all like that and I agree it looks shabby, but I guess they figure that if you can't see it, it's ok. Funny how the construction codes differ so much from housing construction in regards to workmanship. Here's the link.

Yes what ryeja said about the batt insulation. As far as the wiring, ours looks like a 5 year old did it. I pulled the rear panel of the pass thru storage area and tried to clean ours up as much as I could.

My hubby is an electrician and he couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the rat's nest of wires, he was dismayed and said "how in the h*ll do they get away with that kind of workmanship?" Â*These trailers are expensive and just because we can't see the underbelly is no excuse to not tie or bundle/strap the wires to the frame, leaving them dangling puts a lot of unnecessary stress on the connections - What is Crossroads thinking???
We will check out the link regarding the construction and we are going to have to check out under out trailer again (when we finally get to see it at our seasonal lot, at the beginning of May) but he doesn't remember seeing any batts down there and like I say he is in construction and would usually notice these kind of things.
Other than the strange wiring we really love our Seville and get a lot of compliments on it.

OK now I get it, after looking at the diagram I can see why we didn't see the batts as they are sandwiched in just below the floor above the belly which makes sense, good to know, lol
I think my hubby will probably bundle and strap the wires if we ever have to open the belly again, I think it bugs him knowing that he could have done the job better haha Â*Were probably not the only persons to wish they could work at the factory and show them how it should be done. Â*From all aspects including utilizing all the the little nooks and crannies that they just cover up to making up your own floor plan, how fun would that be, lol
