Encountered high winds and serious flapping recently, so went to Wal Mart for a solution. Bought two inflatable beach balls, partially inflatated them and placed at each end of the slide topper. Windy last night here in Moab, UT and they worked great! (colorful too) A whopping $2 invested. Used my rechargable compressor to pump up...quick and easy.
Colorful.....but cool idea. Will need to get a few to keep on hand myself, although with all of the rain we had this weekend there was no flapping going on...just sagging...

I use a Ultra Light three step ladder from Home Depot. Great for washing windows and drying trailer after washing. Can reach the top of the sides on the Sunset Trail. Claimed working height is 9'3" for a person 5'6" tall. Fits on its side in my storage compartment up front. Much lighter than comparable Rubbermaid brand.
I can see the Moab red rock in the back ground on your picture, and the blue sky sure looks nice. Are you getting rain today? It looks like we're in for a good 3 - 4 days of rain in Salt Lake. I've got reservations for a campground up Logan canyon by the river for next weekend, I hope the campground is still there. The rivers are allflooding everywhere up here on the north end of the state.
Yes, it's raining as I write this. Bummer! Utah weather isn't going to be that great for a couple of days. As a former Salt Laker I remember the spring flooding. Used to bury the street by our house around 17th South and 15th East. Hope your river camping works out.
Russ - where are you staying in Moab? I just got notice that my reservations for Memorial Day weekend were cancelled due to flooding, they have closed the campground until June 6thso now we're looking for a plan B.
I've been looking most of the day for a new place to go but it's looking like everything is booked up.
We left Portal RV Park this morning cause they filled up and we are now in Bluff. Left in a deluge, briefly drove through snow in Monticello. My usual choices in Moab are Portal and/or Spanish Trail. Portal has a "south" section only for class As and 5ers in spaces that are larger and can be purchased for a laughingly low $99,000 but rented out at $45 per night. The "north" section is a regular park for $35. If I had a 5er the "south" section is a no-brainer. Think we'll hang here for a few days and then catch up with friends at Mesa Verde.
Have a tire problem I have to deal with. 4th season and around 30,000 miles on the original Missions? Hmmmm.
