Yes, no need to replace fixtures. My entire house has Cree LED lightbulbs in it now, I didn't replace those fixtures so what would be different in a TT? Choose the LED bulb that fits your TT fixture and purchase the LEDs you like.

Yes, R&M, it is that simple. We have seen a lot of them already being used in several Crossroads' products. And to save so many amps is definitely worth the investment. Just think, we may be able to turn the AC on without worrying about power.

Where did you find the Cree LED light bulbs for your house?

Thanks,
Jean

I bought them on sale at Home Depot for $8 each. I think there $12 regular price and I have all 60 watts that put out the same color light as incandescent bulbs. I went with Cree because of the 10 year warranty and the fact they look like a regular lightbulb.

Most of the lights we have are like pot lights, they're round and recessed, with glass covers. Has anyone run across any replacement LEDs that may work? Thanks!

Camping world has them, but they are pricey.

These people here make a lot of lights for the RV industry. Give them a call and talk with them, they have been real good when ever I have called. Plus, what ever I have purchased from them has been far and above any thing else I have bought from other venders.

Curious. Do any of you know the number for the bulbs used in our CR units? We have one type (push & twist) for the sconce and table fixture and another type (bayonet) for all of the fixtures in the ceiling, over the sink, beds, etc.

We want to replace all of ours with LEDs. I want to be able to cross reference them so I do not get the wrong thing.

Thanks a million.

The wedge type bulbs in my unit are #921. They are in all my lights except the bath vanity and bullet lights.

I replaced the ceiling lights with these bulbs I found on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0087XOTWW/. I replaced the lights over the beds with these http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AWES6DW/. They are not as bright and are warmer than the others. I used these in all of the other fixtures http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00814921K/.

Hi Lloyd, I contacted them and they were very helpful! They gave their recommendations but my hubby is concerned the bulbs won't give off much light. That may be fine for the living and bedrooms, but the kitchen and bath aren't bright enough now with the halogens. Thought?

Standard RV bulbs are just over 500 lumens, if you want bright stay with 500 lumens or more. People need to under stand that a round bulb with 500 lumens will not put off as much light as a flat led bulb with 300 lumens, but if you put in a flat led with 500 lumens you will be brighter than your current bulbs. It's a proven fact that lumens means nothing unless it's useable.

I replaced the light over our dinette, which was 120v. with one from them which is 12v. It came with two of the LED pads. I have unplugged one of the pads. It gives more light with just the one then the old 120v light.
Now I realize your lights are probably different then what is in our rig, so I think you should listen to what they say/recommend.
Is it possible that you could buy just one to try it out and see what the results would be?
If it works out for you, great. If not, you won't be out to much.

I just started ordering one or two led lights off Ebay until I found the one's we liked and then ordered a bunch to change them all out. Took a little while due to shipping but the cost was minimal overall.

I have read what has been said on this thread, especially about lumens. I would like to mention one thing I have not read, and that is would it make much difference in the lens being used? I have frosted lenses. Does CR offer a clear lens to replace the frosted lenses? I think that could add to the brightness.

Tommy, when I replaced some of mine with those from
http://www.commandelectronics.com/sl_led.html
They had different lens they recommended to go with their lights.

I used command electronics for tail lights on my 2007 Cruiser. I am going to call CR tommorrow and find out if they sell clear lenses for the LED ceiling lights I have in my living room. (camper)

I don't know that they are "clear" , but they are different then the ones that came with our unit.
