Topper for Rushmore Lincoln

The used 2014 Rushmore Lincoln I purchased has toppers on four of the five slideouts. I asked about the uncovered fifth slideout, the wardrobe slideout of the bedroom. The guy selling it (not much confidence in them) said that it could not have a topper because it has a canopy. Well, only if they got in each others way. Does anyone have a topper AND a canopy on a slideout? The canopy is by Carefree, pretty much typical setup.

And besides the obvious reasons for a topper (shade, debris), I have the most infuriating leak THAT I CANNOT FIND. Facing the wardrobe, in the bottom outside right corner, the carpet will get damp enough to dampen anything like MY CLEAN AND DRY SHEETS(!) that happen to be in there. I've cut access holes in the paneling on the outside and side walls to inspect. The outside wall shows zero water damage, the side wall shows maybe a half inch of discoloration from water at the bottom. In short, nothing I am freaking out about, but still. I have Everseal tape on the top for the entire length of the outside seam, and I put Everseal tape over every seam and screw, both vertical and horizontal, on the side. I honestly have no clue now where the water is coming from! ARGH! But a topper will likely stop it!

How are the flappers and bulb seals?

Another thought---Does it have aluminum tracks on the sides of the slideout wall? If so there have been issues with the water following in around them.

My kitchen slide roof leaked and rotted the wood roof and on the floor my carpet was soaked.

I believe the seals are okay. The slideout is the Schwintec unit, so yes, there are aluminum tracks on the side. I used Everseal tape to insure the track and screws are sealed though. I can't think of where the water could be getting in.

leak

I have the same issue I think . Water following the tracks onto my stairs . I have the Lincoln model. Also a tech told me about the top rubber seals have to be overlapped and glued. The water came in so fast during a down pour soaked the whole stairs even with towels down. I did see a Lincoln with 5 toppers on it on autotrader. Thinking of have them installed this spring

I had toppers put on all of my Springfield slides. The dining couch slide also had an awning...very tight fit to clear the main awning...but Tiara RV got it done....

Can you cover the swintech with tape of some kind to stop water from following it. Will it not bind up when going in and out
