Topper install wall stud spacing

Looking to install a topper on slide of 2014 290Q. See they are 2 inch aluminum. 2 part questions. What is the spacing of the studs? Can the aluminum studs support the topper? just with screws or a expanding anchor?

The spacing is 16"OC, but I dont think it matters. When they installed my topper they just screwed it in to the side wall. I'm not sure if they hit a stud or not. Maybe someone else has more info on this subject, as I had a dealer install mine.

Studs are normally 16" OC, but some may be closer. Also, very likely there is an aluminum header full width of the slide out. A stud finder will work with aluminum studs because it detects differences in wall density. But may also make detecting the large header very difficult. If you have time, under the right conditions, external condensation in the early morning is a great way to 'see' the framing. Stainless steel sheet metal screws will work fine on the aluminum framing.
