check 7 pin on your truck with a meter first. If the plug is still not clean, try cleaning the inside with a baking soda mix.

Did you check the fuse in the truck. In the main fuse box under the hood there is a fuse just for that.

Checked fuses in cab and under hood. Pulled and switched two relays as well. They passed the "shake" test, but otherwise don't know how to tell if it's bad?

If there is no power at the trucks plug, maybe replacing it, or if it can be taken apart and cleaned, is the answer. If you plug the rv into someone else's plug, that can confirm if it is indeed the truck or rv.

Square fuse in the front fuse panel. I forget the number, but it was blown. Happened to me in the rain as well. One of my trailer skirt bulbs had corroded and caused a short. Pulled the bulb and the metal contacts were gone. Replaced bulb and fuse and everything was good as new. There a 2 or three fuses just for the different trailer lights. I wish I could remember the number and be more help.

Ok...I called myself checking all fuses. Guy at Autozone also checked. I went to a hitch place and they worked on it for over an hour before admitting defeat and said I would have to take to stealership. They did not charge me. So I go to stealership and they charge me $114 dollars to change a $5.00 "SQUARE FUSE". You can bet your @$$ I now know how to tell if a "SQUARE FUSE" is blown! I went to Walmart afterwards and bought some readers. Works fine now.

Best way I've found is to replace a fuse - if that's not the issue, you now have a spare

And Tim... did they not fix your problem for you ?

Not sure that I would not be just glad they fixed it when all others had failed.
I can't begrudge a company making a profit so they can stay in business - that's what I hope for any endeavor I am in!

That is exactly what I should have done. It was one of those square fuses. Looked good to me and I did not have a spare. 4 different guys missed it!?

Yes, All fixed and all lights work.

I don't begrudge any company making money. Just awfully steep for a $5 fuse. More upset at myself that I wasted my time and money when it was something I should have caught.

Ha...well first thing you do is find your readers. There is a clear lens in the top of it. Inside is a copper wire soldered at each end. Just like any other fuse if broken it is bad. Can be hard to see (obviously) as it is down inside the fuse.

I had the fore thought to change relay positions, I should have done that for the square fuse too.

Isn't this fuse something that can be checked with a continuity tester?
