A little thought to brighten those winter blues....Not sure about you guys, but I am just over the 30-day mark for the de-winterizing to begin and the list has been started to awaken the sleeping giant. Granted, today's weather does not support this action plan as we on the edge of a major winter storm and it has been raining all day today, but at least the snow has melted off of the roof. Lets see, trickle charge the battery, buy new water filter, new batteries for the thermostat......

This past week I took our cruiser down to get a new axle. Weather has been good. Now I have to bring the 5er home tomorrow & I will not be able to get it up the driveway because of the new snow.

Well, maybe down the road in about 20-years I can winterize by going south...unless the lottery gods are nice to me or a relative hands me a big check

de winterizing is done. Camping for turkey hunting in one week. To Talledega for the races the next week. To the state park for camping with the family the last week in April. Then camping season is here to stay. looking forward to more days and nights each year.

I declare winter in Wisconsin is over.

PS - might to to Canada fishing for Memorial DAy weekend plus a few days, will see if pics are in order.

I de-winterize by putting the electric heater back in it's storage spot and turning the tstat from "off" to "cool". Been in our unit 10 weeks so far this year, A/C just ran for the first time yesterday, so guess winter is over. Oh, and the oak leaves are falling from the trees (live oaks keep their leaves all winter, nothing dreary about that, and then drop them in the spring).

You guys are killing me with all this talk about winter being gone. We got snow last night with a low of 29, supposed to be balmy 41 today with 2-3" more inches of the ugly white stuff. We're heading out for turkey hunting the first week of May, I'm hoping spring has sprung by then.

My turkey hunting season is next week in Wi. Am trying to decide how much not to wear. Hate it when the turkey can hear you sweating. U know they can't smell. It's the only reason why we can kill them. Good luck, both for the apearance of spring and your season to hunt.

I thought winter was just about over until today. I got the dogsled put away and power raked the lawn and started to do the de-winterizing list. Old man winter just blew in and dropped about an inch of snow andsome fierce winds.I guess for us northeners winter is never really over.
