Winterizing 2015 Rushmore - bypass

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum. Winterized my 2015 Lincoln yesterday. The system on this unit is different than any other trailer or motor home that I have owned.
1) a single bypass valve with check valves in the basement area to stop reverse flow? I got antifreeze through all of the lines ... but how did the antifreeze get through to the hot water lines to the faucets and not get back into the water heater? I ask this because you can see the "T" at the outlet of the water heater where the hot water goes to the different faucets. I did not see a check valve there so why doesn't the antifreeze also go backward into the heaters outlet???
As I think about it again, I think i will look again for another check valve because it doesn't make sense. Is there a check valve built into the outlet of the heater?
Can anyone help me understand this?
Thanks in advance for your input.
Marcel
