Looking at a new 2011, Done a walk thru and found some small things that need fixed and 1 major that Iam not sure about. Had salesman bring in slides. The slide that holds the dinette and sofa was the concern. Hard to explain but will try, no pics available. When the slide comes in, it lifts up, thats fine. But the left side (by the entrance door) the floor has come loose from the front corner of the wall. Kinda like the screws have pulled out. I see no way of fixing it, except my pulling the whole slide out. With the slide extended you still cant get to it from outside underneath. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Salesman said you shouldn't step on front of slides when they are in, because they lift up and stepping on them causes this. Does that make sense.
Thanks

The salesman is correct about not standing on the edge of the floor when the room is "in". There have been past posts about this. Not standing on the slideout when it is retracted is not big deal to me and I guess most people feel the same. I would not think the floor should be separating from the wall however on a brand new rig. Is this a unit that you ordered or has it been sitting on a dealers lot? I don't know what the "fix" is but I would think the slide would have to come out and the floor re-attached. My guess is (if this has been sitting on the dealers lot) that people have walked on the edge with the room "in" and that has caused it to pull loose. I doubt it came from the factory like that.

Yes, it has been on lot for awhile. When walking in, with all slides in, its hard not to step on that corner since it is right by the door. Probably wouldn't hurt if stepping in the middle, but right there on the edge in not good. But even so, doesn't seem like it should pull away from the bottom of the wall. They are going to try and fix it. Now if they do say they got it fixed, should I step on it and apply some pressure just to make sure it is solid. The opposite end is rock solid.

I wouldn't step on it, you could place a piece of wood under the slide when its in and then you should be able to step on it. Just remember to move the wood when pushing it out.
