2012 cruiser 31RE

Looking for any information, good or bad on 2012 Cruiser 31RE Fifth Wheel. We have a 2011 RK and have been pleased with the unit. We are looking for a little more space and like the layout. Have found a 2012 and not sure if we should pull the trigger. Hoping that the quality was still OK in 2012. Thanks in advance.

Our CF31RE-10 is good

We purchased new a CF31RE10 and have been happy with it. There were a few problems that the dealer took care of (pin-box, furnace and leaky shower). We’ve made many alterations to suit our needs. As I recall a common problem was the bed becoming loose from the wall but we fixed this. It’s necessary to pull the mattress away from the wall before lifting the foot of the bed. They may have cheapened the front framework as we need to re-caulk the over-hang ever couple of years due to the flexing; as per the dealership this is common.
Our two big slides are rack and pinion; no Schwintek for us.
The RV gets plenty of use as we work camp 6 month of the year and pull her back and forth from the Midwest to up into the Rocky Mountains annually. I love the bigger tires and the equa-flex as it tows so much better than the old 5th wheel.

31RE

We did a factory order in March of 2012 for our 31RE Patriot. When it came in it was a 2013 model. We have put many miles on it and have had no problems at all but for one slide adjustment. I don't think there were that many changes between the model years. What sold us on this model was the floor plan. I think if you or someone checks it out and it looks good I would go for it.

Gotta love the floor plan. You can pull into a rest stop, open the RV door and use the kitchen, bathroom and crawl into bed without opening a slide.

The first question I would ask is "why are you selling this camper" due to the fact it is only three years old...IMHO...

Thanks for the input. Only reason we may be looking to deal is to gain some more room. For some of our holidays our Daughter, Son-in-Law and granddaughter come with us. The extra slide near the rear of the unit would give them some more space for sleeping while allowing us to get going in the morning by freeing up the kitchen area. If it is just the two of us, our 31rk is ideal. We have had very few issues and we are pre 2013 when the problems seemed to have started with Crossroads.
