The2012 Cruiser 335SS that we are purchasing has the</span>Chocolate Leather Furniture with the sofa with a fold out bed. The bed is pretty small - about a twin size. We were looking to upgrade the sofa to one with the air mattress - it looks like that will be a larger bed. The sofa will be a few inches longer but it should fit in the space without any problems. We took measurements of the one we have and one in another trailer that had the cloth fabric but with the air mattress. We are working with the dealer to make a sofa swap - I think they will have to order one from the factory - don't have a price yet.</span>
</span>
So my questions are:</span>
1. Has anyone done a similar upgrade. </span>
2. Does it appear that the</span>Chocolate Leather sofa</span>air mattress is bigger than the standard fold out mattress - big enough for 2 people to sleep on Vs one? (our trade - a Montana Mountaineer - had an air mattress sofa bed that was big enough to sleep two)</span>

Looks like allot have viewed the post - I am guessing that this sofa is the "std" hide a bed in this model and no-one has made a change.

Delivery of the unit is delayed because the dealer is installing slide toppers on the three slides - ones that match the awning (fabric and hardware). Because of the "special" hardware the delivery is delayed about a week.

You can take this with a grain of salt but I have heard more than once these air mattresses that come with for the hideabed are not very good .That is what I have read &amp; heard. But the regular ones aren't very good either unless you weigh under 100 lbs &amp; them times are long ago!

This is not a reflection on crossroads just the hideabed industry.We have had them in three different manufacturers units and they are all the same except for covering material. You are better of putting an old fashion air mattress on the floor. IMHO jb

When we ordered our Patriot 335 a few weeks ago the dealer talked us out of the air mattress option,his main reason was because of dealing with a large number ofthem that had unrepairableair leaks along with the high replacement cost. He said exactly what John B stated word for word,," you're better off putting a good qualityair mattress on the floor".....

FWIW the air bed in our 30SKP has been great. Daughter and SIL have spent several nights on it with no issues. Much prefered over the hide-a-bed that was in the 2003 27RL.

The ability to adjust it to the weight is a plus. I have read several that had "leaks" but all seem to have been replaced under warranty?

Our original air mattress was replaced by CR no questions asked after it had sprung a leak under warranty, . Second one is much higher quality than was the first.

Our air mattress hide-a-bed has also worked great. Daughter and granddaughter have slept on it during several visits. Very comfortable, much better than the thin mattress on the fold out units. Just fold it up in the morning and store it in the drawer under the sofa.

That is interesting as our 2010 came with the airbed.
