I presently have a 2007 CF28RL and will be picking up a new CF29CK at the factory in August.I am considering the purchase of a 2009 Chev 2500HD Duramax Silverado LT Z71. I am looking for advice from anyone that can help in as much as I am concerned that the clearance between the new truck box sides and the underneath of the overhang of the 5th will be sufficient. The measurement of the truck at the back from the ground to the top of the box is 57inches which seems like it will be to high. Can anyone tell me if they have hauled with this vehicle and how much clearance they have. I can |try it" of course as the new truch does not have a hitch until after I purhase it. HELP PLEASE
Don't have a Chevy but I have an 09 29RK and it has jack plate holes where the springs mount which means the camper can be raised about an inch or two with no problem. But I do have a F -250 and I have maybe 8 to 9 inches of clearance and I wouldn't think you would have any problem with clearance. My height is about 54 inches.
No problem here - I have 6" of clearance and the axle hanger has 2 slots for adjustment. Also, the Trailair tends to raise the unit a bit so I have had no issues with clearance.
Good luck!

I've been working on a project to raise my 29RK since I got it 2 months ago.
Lippert says the lower holes on the end spring hangers are not designed to be used in the lower holes unless the hanger is beefed up. Strange they would put them on the frame with those conditions. Also, without being able to lower the center eqailizer hanger, you would only get about 1" increase at best.
The folks at Trailerair (and Lippert) state that by only lowering the spring ends to the lower hole you will twist the axle enough to eliminate the correct toe-in adjustment. In other words you are going to have to do an alignment on the trailer.
With all the issues of these quality Lippert frames I'm hesitant to do anything that will void my warranty.
