Another preventable water tank leak!

Since we usually go for a month long trip each year and I'm not leaving for a month yet I finally got to investigating my fresh water tank leak from last years trip. As suspected. Screws through frame to hold electrical on outside pierced the tank after it moving and rubbing on it for the past four years and about 20,000 miles.

So are you going to try to repair or replace. Might be able to slowly add heat from a soldering gun to slowly melt the plastic around the hole working it towards the hole and fuse the hole closed.

Already repaired it. Yes, used a soldering iron and then Nashua waterproofing repair tape. Now putting it all back together.

Don't know if my reply went thru , but suggested the tape that the tv guy sells that has the leak seal spray . Or eternabond for the roof. And suggested cutting the screw. You beat me to it.

Nashua waterproofing tape is actually amazing. Will even seal pressurized lines. For this job it should be permanent.
