Cover recommondations

We own a 2012 Cruiser Aire TT. The trailer is 28' long and 31' long from tip to tale. In the past, we have not covered our previous trailer (FR ROO) and as a result, experienced some leaking through the roof. While I understand that we need to inspect and re-calk annually, does anyone have good experience in covering your Cruiser Aire TT? If so, what brand or type of cover have you used. Do we need to go longer than the 31' tip to tale measurement?

Thank you,

Crossroads recommends no cover.

Thank you. Can you elaborate as to why?

Have seen one recently that just covers just roof. Here in N Fl it would be great in spring when the pollen falls. Not bod on front/rear caps & sides but on root it is like glue when it gets wet from dew or rain.
Seems like just a top cover might not create the heat build up that a full cover does???

My cover recommendation is a storage shed or garage. I keep mine in a garage. A camper definitely needs to be kept indoors when not in use, IMO. I don't believe a fabric cover provides the same level of protection from water intrusion that a roof will. I'm sure some here will disagree, but that's my two pennies on the subject.

When we bought our previous 2003 Cruiser we purchased one of the name brand covers for it. Even though it is stored in a covered, open sided shed, I though the cover would help with weathering of the gel coat.

I installed it as directed by the manufacturer and after the approximately 4 months in storage we pulled it out for the first trip of the year.

To my dismay, all sides of the camper had dull, scuffed areas from the cover moving in the wind as well as several areas of the cover were worn through from the movement. A lot of elbow grease with polishing compound and wax finally made the camper shine again.

No cover for me!

No doubt inside storage is best. It is not available for many of us. I used a cover for two off seasons and it was fine except a small area on roof corner. Based on that I will store uncovered this year.
Another thought is rv dealers never cover and some of the units Don't move for years. Just a thought.

Fabric covers are not recommended. Inside storage would obviously be best, but not available and/or out of reach for most.

I do like the idea of roof only covers, especially the way the straps stand out and away from the sides of the rv. (Adco covers)

f you do cover it , put something like a tennis ball or larger over the eavestrough spouts or the weight of the cover will bend them and will probably cause leaks.

I've never covered. Inspect roof a couple times a year, and make at least one cold trip to check on camper through the winter. We've never had an issue. Probably never will cover.

I know some that cover. They can cause problems with gutter extensions (bend/break, or extension pokes hole in cover).
