The Sahara has brown filon fiberglass & the Patriot/Provencial has white double gel coat fiberglass. The double gel coat has a smoother & shiner appearance. They both are the same for as cleaning & waxing. The exterior painting is again, a personal appearance thing, & adds value on resale.

The website describes the exterior fiberglass for both products as Lamilux, not one being filon and the other double gel coat.

Copied from the website. Same description for Patriot / Sahara & regular Cruiser

Lamilux may be the name of the fiberglass siding they are using, it comes in 2 styles. Filon fiberglass & double gel coat. I've seen both styles & do know there is a difference.

Having had one of each the gel coat is much easier to maintain and has a smoother look.
