Ducted furnace

We're in AZ where it was 35 degrees this morning. Last night was the first time I've used the furnace in this rig. The air from the heat duct in the bedroom and bathroom is blowing very little. I've checked the ducts in the basement for holes, but they are intact. Anyone else experienced this, and if so what was the remedy?

Under the steps, there should be one or two round pipes. These connect from the main duct under the main floor and up to a second duct for the bath/bedroom floor. They may be loose, disconnected, pinched or blocked some how. You will have to look in the basement storage area to check them, could be located behind a false basement wall.

Close the vents on the area you don't use and you will see increased flow to the areas you use. Also is this a used trailer, if the previous owner had pets - the blower fan motor blades may be full of debris - clean it with compressed air and a vacuum cleaner

It was chilly, wasn't it. I'm currently in AZ also so turned on my furnace in the morning to keep the chill off. Otherwise, my electric oil-filled heater kept it semi-warm thru the night. I replaced the non-adjustable vents in my 08 ST32BH nearest the furnace where the air flow was greatest with adjustable ones that reduced the airflow there and forced it toward the bedroom. Have needed to do this in every rig since.

I also had this issue with the Heartland bunkhouse I just traded in . I ended up replacing all the vents with adjustable ones from dwincorp.com. They come in different colors to match your interior.

Thank you, all. I semi-tried to get a vent cover off on our rig to clean below and the top didn't lift out after pulling the two screws like in our old rig. Surely, the top and the vent aren't one piece?

It will come off with a little effort. CR uses duct tape to seal the edges of the opening thru the floor. Some of the adhesive gets on the plastic vent and keeps it stuck.

Thanks, Dayle. I'll try again.
